It was an epic moment when I first looked at Alyssa Lau’s style photos. I love her style so much that I want to take out my soul and put it in her body, just so I can own her wardrobe and possess that minimal-chic, carefree, effortless style. I’m trying my best to not sound like a psycho stalker, but it looks like I’ll be stalking her style for a long, long, time.
In case you don’t know, I’m a huge fan of “geek stuff” AKA. Anime, manga, and all things related to character design and the art of Japanese storytelling. My history as head of ‘comic club’ in high school is one proof..
Anyway, I got pretty carried away when I heard about SlashCode, a fashion brand which tries to create a mix between geek and fashion. Their products are ‘geek chic’ scarves that are made so beautifully, easy to wear and super fun to mix & match with your style.

Apart from all things tomboyish, preppy, vintage or things of minimal designs, I do have a soft side for all things natural. Whatever is made (or made to be believed) to be organic. Labels such as raw, 100% natural, machine-free, or hand-dyed always work on me like magic and I will purchase like a maniac.
So when I encountered this girl who introduce herself as a fan of my work at a folk music event, I instantly knew I had to make a drawing of her in that lovely cotton dress. There you go, nong Kwang. You have prove a point again that people who loves my work are a bunch of lovely, super nice girls with great personal style.
